Privacy policy
Last updated: 2026-06-16
Your privacy matters. This policy explains what data we process in CornerQuiz and how. Draft pending legal review.
Data controller
Clasmus GmbH (CHE-404.828.543), Strehlgasse 2, 8001 Zürich, Suiza, operator of the “CornerQuiz” brand. Contact: [pendiente: email de contacto del Quiz].
What data we process
Anonymous play: you don't need to sign up or give your email to play.
Leaderboard: if you choose to appear on the leaderboard, we store your nickname (a pseudonym you choose), your score and your time, linked to an anonymous identifier for your device. It is not your real name unless you type it.
In your browser (localStorage): your streak, stats and progress. This lives only on your device, not on our servers.
Advertising: when we enable ads (Google AdSense), Google may use cookies to serve and measure ads. We manage this via the cookie consent (see below).
Premium payments: if you buy the premium pass, the payment is processed by Paddle (the legal seller), which handles your payment data; we never see your card.
Who we share data with
Supabase (database, EU/Ireland servers), Cloudflare (site hosting), Google AdSense (advertising, when enabled) and Paddle (premium payments). We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
Legal basis and retention
We process data under the GDPR (EU) and the Swiss FADP (nLPD/revDSG), based on consent, legitimate interest (service security) and legal obligations.
We keep the leaderboard while relevant (we prune old leaderboards); purchase invoices for as long as tax law requires; technical logs for 30–90 days.
Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your data, or object to its processing, by writing to [pendiente: email de contacto del Quiz]. As play is anonymous, to delete your leaderboard entry just tell us your nickname. We handle requests within a reasonable time.
EU residents may lodge a complaint with their data protection authority; in Switzerland, with the FDPIC (PFPDT).
Security
We use HTTPS, row-level security (RLS) in the database, and data minimization: we collect only what's necessary.
